Christmas in the Tok Corporate Centre Boardroom
Christmas in the Tok Corporate Centre Boardroom
Experience the difference this year with a stylish Christmas luncheon, get-together or end of year celebration in the Tok Corporate Centre Executive Boardroom. Recently refurbished, the stunning boardroom can seat up to 12 guests in air conditioned comfort.

Rather than taking your clients to a restaurant, where they’ll become part of the crowd, a Christmas lunch at Tok will ensure each guest is escorted to the boardroom and treated like the important client they are.

There’ll be no distractions, extremely comfy chairs and beautiful surroundings giving you a great opportunity to expose the year’s achievements with our plasma screen facilities.

Our professional staff are available to organise catering tailored to your specific needs. The room will be tastefully decorated with Christmas trimmings, with your personal touches more than welcome.

Access to the centre is accommodating, with 90 minutes complimentary parking at the Wilson Car Park adjoining the Business Centre, plus the convenient Toorak location is close to the city.

To discuss your Christmas lunch requirements, please call Carol, Centre Manager on 03 9296 2000.

Changes at Tok H Centre

The festive season has commenced at Tok H Centre, signalled by decorations including a 3.5m Christmas tree in the first level window fronting Toorak Rd, which is illuminated in the evenings. Five dramatic red Christmas banners and red and gold stars hanging from the ceiling in the central mall also bring out the festive cheer.

As you may be aware, the summer season is also a time for many other exciting changes taking place at Tok H Centre.

Facade Upgrade:
Tok H Centre is currently upgrading its Toorak Rd façade, with two new frameless glass entrances on Toorak Rd set to provide a sharp and welcoming feel. Soon the centre will also feature completely new signage and branding, including the re-branding of the Safeway Supermarket to Woolworths. Works have already begun and will continue to mid-December. As well as the building works, the new signage will give the centre a modern feel and will highlight the Shopping, Medical and Offices on offer.

Car Park:
In September, Wilson Parking took over the operation of the Tok H car park. The car park is now fully automated with pay stations located near the lifts on the first and second floors. It is comprehensively managed by Wilson Parking and ParkWatch who can offer assistance directly through the new machines. The car park has been recently repainted and remains free for the first 90 minutes for all customers. Wilson parking offer Australia’s only cashless parking system, making parking at Tok H Centre hassle free.

Air Conditioning Upgrade for Retail Space:
When you step inside retail shops within the Tok H Centre on level one and two on hot summer days, you’ll benefit from new air conditioning units. The new air conditioning system is being installed in preparation for summer, provided by Paramount Air Conditioning who are a leading mechanical design, installation and service provider.

News from the Village
News from the Village
Toorak Village will again light up the night sky throughout the festive season, with clusters of illuminated stars fixed to building facades.

There was such a terrific response to last year’s stars, that this year there’ll be even more – 8 locations. The large star is 1.5m wide and features a white lit 3m comet tail. The smaller stars are 800 & 600mm in diameter.

Also, this year’s Christmas Party, which Tok Corporate Centre staff are welcome to attend, is on Wednesday 9 December at Fiorinis, upstairs 470 Toorak Rd at 5.45pm to 7.30pm, so keep that date free!!!

Looking to next year, the call for entries is already underway for the 2010 Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition, which will run from 1-31 May. If you know any sculptors please direct them to the www.tooraksculpture.com.au website. Also, the Toorak Village Traders Association is looking for sponsors for the event, so if any one has an art loving contact that may want to align their business with this well established event, please contact Tony Fialides asap on 0419 005 052.

A Successful Gala for Ovarian Cancer Research
A Successful Gala for Ovarian Cancer Research
The 2009 Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s annual Silver Ribbon Exposure Gala returned to the lavish waterfront venue Peninsula at Central Pier, Docklands in October.

‘La Dolce Vita’ theme was a great success with the guests coming face to face with the vintage images, mood and music of Italy in the 1950s – the spectacular ballroom glowed with the flair , style and seduction for which the Italians are famously popular. Hosted by OCRF Ambassador and Media Supremo – Catriona Rowntree.

Fabulous Italian cuisine, wines and evocative music ensured total enjoyment of this splendid event was had by all.

Co-presented by Australia's leading lifestyle magazine Australian Gourmet Traveller, Champagne Devaux, The Leading Hotels of the World and proudly supported by Mercedes-Benz. It was a night to remember, consolidating its status as an iconic event within the Melbourne social calendar, entertaining an enviable guest list from Melbourne's corporate, political and social scenes.

In 2009 the gala pulled together a cracker team of celebrity chefs who showcased the 'Italian culinary delights’ led by Melbourne's Italian impresario Guy Grossi. He worked closely with Ian Curley (European), Carlo Havelberg (Da Noi) and Dan Shanks (Atlantic Group) in what was an exceptional gourmet experience superbly matched to Champagne Devaux, Yering Station wine, imported beer by Trumer Australia and refreshing sparkling drinks from Splitrock and Tiro.

Guests enjoyed a magical night of entertainment showcasing talented feature Australian artists Mark Vincent “winner of Australia's Got Talent 2009” and the amazingly talented Kate Ceberano.

The OCRF’s head office is located at Tok Corporate Centre. Please drop in, or contact the Foundation if you would like to make a donation on 1300 OVARIAN (682 742).
